ELECTROLYSIS

With electrolysis, we are able to permanently rid you of unwanted body hair in areas such as the upper lip, legs and bikini area.

During electrolysis, a very fine probe (made of thin surgical steel) is adjusted to match hair thickness and follicle depth and is inserted
into each hair follicle. Then a controlled electrical pulse is directed through the probe into the root of the hair. This causes permanent destruction of the cells responsible for hair growth, and the hair cannot grow back. The treatment allows us to permanently remove all hair regardless of hair color, thickness and skin color – including very light blonde, grey and white hair. The technique has proved to
be successful for generations!

WHAT IS ELECTROLYSIS, OR ELECTROEPILATION?

Electrolysis, sometimes referred to as electroepilation, belongs to the realm of high-tech cosmetics and remains the only recognized method to permanently remove very light or
white hair.

HOW DOES HAIR REMOVAL VIA ELECTROLYSIS WORK?

With electrolysis, also known as permanent epilation, even light, reddish and less pigmented hair can be removed effectively and permanently. This form of hair removal involves inserting an extremely fine needle probe into the hair follicle.

Using a weak electrical pulse, the root cell of the hair follicle is destroyed. The hair then falls out or can be easily removed with tweezers. This process must be repeated for each individual hair. Therefore, this form of permanent hair removal requires some degree of patience and perseverance, but also delivers immediate and lasting results.

ELECTROLYSIS IS PARTICULARLY SUITABLE

  • Under the eyebrows, since a laser or light device can’t be used here

  • or facial hair in older women with graying hair and for graying chest hair
in men, because laser isn’t effective on less pigmented hair.

IS HAIR REMOVAL VIA ELECTROLYSIS PAINFUL?

Skin irritation from electrolysis is relatively mild. In addition, you benefit from our more than twenty years of experience in administering the treatment.

WHAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AFTER ELECTROLYSIS?

After electrolysis, both excessive heat (e.g., sauna) and excessive moisture (e.g., swimming pool) should be avoided for 72 hours. Excessive UV exposure of the treated area (e.g., by tanning outside or at a tanning salon) should also be avoided, and sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher should be applied to areas exposed to UV light or the sun.

In addition, cosmetics or similar products containing perfumes, etc. should be avoided for
72 hours following electrolysis.

We are happy to determine your hair and skin type in a personal, no-obligation consultation, during which we will discuss the benefits of the various treatment options with you.
